This boxed set of 'Sorting Marbles' is a fine example of a Brio wooden toy for young children. The base is natural wood with the Brio logo on it and there are four chunky pins with gigantic marbles on them! The pins and marbles are painted in bright colours: red, yellow, green and blue.
This toy is an excellent educational toy for a pre-school child as it helps with the basics of counting from one to ten, learning primary colours, plus sorting and matching the colours of the marble to its pin. By handling the marbles and concentrating on placing them on the pins the child is developing many skills that he will need for learning.
